Learn How To Make a Coffee Candle

Mmm! The only thing better than a fresh cup of Joe is a coffee scented candle to let you enjoy the aroma all day long. Making it is incredibly easy, so here are the things that you need:

  • 1 pound of candle wax
  • Coffee scented candle oil
  • A used and clean milk carton for a candle mold
  • Candle mold release spray
  • Chopsticks
  • A candle wick
  • A cookie sheet
  • Aluminum foil
  • Two pans to use as a double boiler

This is incredibly easy, so all you need to do is cut down your milk carton to the size that you want for the candle to be. Then spray it with the candle mold release spray in a ventilated area. Puncture a hole in the bottom, and thread the wick through one half of an inch. Tape the wick down to seal the hole on the outside bottom of the mold. Tie the top of the wick to a chopstick, and place it crosswise over the mold to hold it in place so the wick is straight. Begin boiling water in your larger pan, and place the smaller pan on top of it to melt the wax in. Reduce the boil to medium, and melt the candle wax until clear. Then add your coffee scented candle oil until it is a medium brown color. Cover the cookie sheet with aluminum foil, and place the candle mold on top of that. Pour the wax into the candle mold, and allow it to cool for up to 12 hours.

After that, all you have to do is tear off the old milk carton, and trim the wick to a centimeter. Then get ready to light and enjoy! So easy, and so rewarding...
