Cold Brew Coffee Just in Time for the Summer!

If you are wondering how you are going to continue to enjoy your cup of Joe in the summer season, cold brew is the answer that you have been looking for. This is also something that is called Toddy Coffee, and it is a drink that many people enjoy year-round because it brews with less acidity than a traditional cup of Joe. In fact, cold brew coffee has 60% less acidity than coffee that is hot brewed.

This cold brew is perfect for iced coffee, and it can become addicting because it is so darn convenient. It does involve a little bit of preparation, but all you have to do is place fresh coffee grounds in your French Press, and add the same amount of water you would normally add, except that it should be cold. Allow this mixture to steep in your refrigerator for 12 hours, and if you want a very strong concentrate, you can add more coffee grounds before steeping.

When the 12 hours has passed, plunge your French Press as usual, and keep the remaining coffee product in your refrigerator. This will leave you with the perfect Toddy Coffee, which you can have as a coffee base to create a delicious iced coffee at any time. There are also Toddy Presses on the market that you can purchase that make the process easier, but you can get the same result from using your handy French Press at home. This is perfect for the summer season!
